During the development of the street level façade for Saint Laurent’s largest global flagship on the Avenue des Champs-Élysées 3D scanning was deployed. This was an important process that allowed us to determine the actual substrate to support the new very heavy façade elements. The 3D scans identified that the substrate was actually a combination of concrete, steel and limestone. We modified the structural attachments and elevation benchmarks to accurately complete the final façade design assist process for the cast white bronze cladding and integration of other façade elements.
