After 20 plus years of service and misapplied remediations by various contractors the unitized curtain wall and open joint rainscreen for the main tower, podium, wellness center and helipad had developed some areas of air and water infiltration. Due the complexities of the façade we conducted a detailed assessment, testing and then deployed our proprietary thermal tracing methods to pinpoint the air and water penetration points within 10 mm (3/8”) which facilitated our forensics specialists to develop 3D remediation details. We managed the remediation oversight and post testing process to ensure that the façade was performing correctly. The building As-built drawings were brought current as an accurate state of the façade including the updated original 2D drawings as well as the new 3D drawings.
